Nomad Days Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 3, 2026

Nomad Days (“Nomad Days,” “we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a travel and tax tracking application designed to help users maintain a travel history, monitor visa stay limits and tax residency thresholds, and track eligibility for the U.S. Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE).

Nomad Days is designed to keep your personal travel information primarily on your device. Nomad Days does not require an account and does not operate servers that store your personal travel history.

Information Nomad Days Accesses

Location Data

With your permission, Nomad Days accesses your device’s location to determine the country you are in and automatically maintain your travel history.

The app may access location in the background so that your travel history can remain up to date without requiring you to open the app each day.

Location information, including coordinates, timestamps, and associated country information, may be stored locally on your device.

Nomad Days uses Apple-provided services, including Apple’s geocoding services, to convert geographic coordinates into country or region information. As a result, location coordinates may be processed by Apple when these services are used. Nomad Days does not upload your location history to servers operated by Nomad Days.

Photos

With your permission, Nomad Days accesses your Photo Library to help reconstruct your past travel history.

The app may access information associated with your photos, including:

When necessary, Nomad Days may read image data to obtain embedded location metadata.

Nomad Days may also display photos or photo thumbnails within the app so that you can review the evidence associated with your travel history.

Nomad Days does not upload your photos to servers operated by Nomad Days. Photo-derived location information may be processed using Apple-provided geocoding services.

If a photo is stored in iCloud Photos rather than locally on your device, Apple’s Photos services may retrieve that photo from your iCloud Photo Library when it is needed by the app.

Calendar Data

With your permission, Nomad Days accesses calendar information to identify travel-related events and help reconstruct your travel history.

Depending on the event, information accessed or processed may include:

Relevant calendar information may be stored locally on your device as part of your travel history and diagnostic information.

Nomad Days does not upload your calendar information to servers operated by Nomad Days.

Travel and Tax Information

Nomad Days stores information you provide or that the app generates to provide its travel and tax-related features. This may include:

This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to servers operated by Nomad Days.

How We Use Information

Nomad Days uses the information described above to provide features including:

Data Storage

Nomad Days does not maintain a backend account or database containing your personal travel information.

Travel history, location information, imported calendar information, photo references, preferences, and other app data are stored within the app’s local storage on your device.

Some diagnostic information may also be stored locally, including information related to location events, photo imports, calendar imports, and app activity.

Like other locally stored app data, Nomad Days data may be included in device backups managed by Apple or by you, depending on your device and backup settings.

Apple Services

Nomad Days uses Apple-provided frameworks and services to provide certain functionality. These may include services related to:

Information may be processed by Apple when these services are used. Apple’s handling of information through its services is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.

Nomad Days does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Data Sharing

Nomad Days does not sell your personal information.

Nomad Days does not share your personal travel information with advertisers or data brokers and does not use your information for cross-app or cross-service advertising tracking.

Certain information may be processed through Apple services as described above.

Nomad Days also provides features that allow you to intentionally export or share information using Apple’s system sharing interface. For example, you may choose to share travel summaries, diagnostic information, or generated tax-related documents.

When you initiate such sharing, you choose where the information is sent. Information you choose to share is subject to the privacy practices of the service or recipient you select.

Analytics and Advertising

Nomad Days does not include third-party analytics services, advertising SDKs, or behavioral tracking technologies.

Nomad Days does not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

Accounts and Personal Identifiers

Nomad Days does not require you to create an account or sign in.

Nomad Days does not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.

The app may store identifiers associated with content on your device, such as Photo Library asset identifiers and Calendar event identifiers, when necessary to provide its functionality. These identifiers are stored locally and are not used to track you across apps or services.

Permissions

Depending on the features you use, Nomad Days may request access to:

You can change or revoke these permissions at any time through the Settings app on your device.

Certain Nomad Days features may not function correctly if their corresponding permissions are disabled.

Data Retention and Deletion

Nomad Days retains locally stored information as needed to maintain your travel history and provide app functionality.

The app provides controls for deleting trip information. Some locally stored information, including certain location records, preferences, and diagnostic information, may remain after using in-app trip deletion controls.

You can remove Nomad Days and its locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device. Data contained in device backups may remain subject to your Apple or device backup settings and retention practices.

Children’s Privacy

Nomad Days is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly operate a service intended to collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Nomad Days changes or new features are introduced.

When this policy is updated, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
